Wang Jianlin

Wang Jianlin (王健林; Pinyin: Wang Jianlin; * 1954) is a Chinese businessman and multi-billionaire.

Wang is considered by the Hurun list as the richest man in China.

Life

From 1970 to 1986 he worked in the People's Liberation Army. Since 1993 he has led the Chinese real estate and construction company Dalian Wanda Group. He also bought the U.S. cinema chain AMC Entertainment, as well as a British manufacturer of luxury yachts. Jianlin is married and lives in Dalian. According to the U.S. Forbes magazine Jianlin is one of the richest Chinese.

According to media reports, Wang is planning to build the tallest residential tower of London and in the Chinese port city of Qingdao to build the largest film city in the world named Oriental Movie Metropolis.
