When head: Forested ridge in center

The well head is 1712 m above sea level. NHN high mountain group of the horns in the Western Allgäu Alps, located in the Bavarian region of Upper Allgäu region.

Location

The well head rises about 3.5 kilometers west of Obermaiselstein. South past the mountain performs a pass over the road about 1.8 km south-west to Riedbergpass ( 1420 m above sea level. NHN ), the Hittisau (Vorarlberg, Austria ) in the west and fish in Allgäu ( Bavaria, Germany ) with one another in the East. The larger western neighbor mountain is the Riedbergerhorn (1786 m above sea level. NHN ).

On When head north and south of the Bolgenach flows past the Schoenberger Oh. These are the headwaters of the western Iller influx hamlet Oh.

The Vertical separation of the well head is at least 112 meters, its dominance 2.2 kilometers, the mountain is Riedbergerhorn reference each.

Ascent

Coming from Riedbergpass the well head can be hiked on the grass Gehrenalpe. To the north of the mountain is located in the valley of the Upper Bolgenach Bolgenalpe ( 1367 m above sea level. NHN ).
