Four servers were used, which each had a web server ( Apache). In two of these a separate database server (MySQL ) was operated. The servers were independent of each other because they each hattn saved the entire database of articles. The databases synchronized with each other so that both databases have the same qualitative relevance, and failures of individual computers so did not have much impact.

Wapedia App

For devices with the operating system Apple iOS and Android a locally installable app has been available since 2009. In addition to a paid version, there was one for the end-users free, ad-supported version.
