War Merit Cross (Baden)
The Baden War Merit Cross was founded on 9 September 1916 by Grand Duke Frederick II of Baden and was intended as recognition for services to the armed forces and to the general welfare of the country.
Appearance
The decoration is a bronze cross of St. John, the center shows a griffin with the Baden escutcheon. To the medallion extending between the cross angles with a laurel wreath. The rear of the winning and intertwined initials of the founder, F. ( Friedrich).
Carrying method
The award was worn on a red ribbon with a yellow side and a white border strip on the left chest.
