Warren Chappell

Warren Chappell (* 1904 in Richmond, Virginia, † 1991 in Charlottesville, Virginia ) was an American graphic artist, typographer and illustrator.

Chappell studied at the Art Students League of New York and later at the School of Applied Arts Offenbach. In the D. Stempel AG, he designed the Trajan font, but had to return because of the Second World War to his homeland, where he was A. Knopf prolific illustrator for the publishing company Alfred. As Artist-in -Residence, he also worked at the University of Virginia.
