Warren is an Unincorporated community in southern Idaho County in the Region North Central Idaho, which is located in the Payette National Forest near the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness.

History

Warren was born in 1862 by prospectors as one of the oldest settlements in the state of Idaho in the Washington Territory. The population grew rapidly to over 2,000, many Chinese lived in the town. After the closure of the mines, the population declined rapidly, but experienced again in the 1930s by dredger mining an upswing. A small mining operation is now used instead of yet.

Warren in 1989, 2000 and 2007, victims of forest fires. Thus the place came to importance in the so-called Morcheljagden.
