Warren Vanders

Warren Vander (actually John Warren Vanderschuit; * May 23, 1930 in San Fernando, California, † November 27, 2009 in Pasadena ) was an American actor.

Life

Vanders was during the Korean War soldier of the U.S. Navy and punched in military competitions. The sports career, he then led away; he was part of the Golden Gloves series and won in 1954 the title of heavyweight champion of Southern California. He also played American football.

In 1956 the 1.91 m wide Vanders with the studied acting and worked himself as a teacher; only gradually he came to roles in film, television and on stage, usually as a gangster or unscrupulous power-seeker. His most famous roles were in the Western - lots of smoking on the small screen in Colts, Bonanza and Daniel Boone; on the canvas in Bloody lead.

For a time he was married to fellow actress Dawn Bender.
