Warszewo transmitter

The transmitter Warszewo (Polish: Warszewo RSN ) is a transmitting device of the Polish Radio in Warszewo ( German: Warsow ), a suburb of Stettin.

The transmitter Warszewo went in 1949 as a self- radiating transmission tower in operation, the antenna used as a 113 -meter-high, insulated against ground guyed lattice steel mast with a triangular cross section. The transmit frequency was up to 1950 1302 kHz, then to 1955 1259 kHz, 1955-1978 kHz and 1304 after the entry into force of the Geneva wave plan on November 22, 1978 1260 kHz. The transmitter Warszewo could be received easily at night in many parts of Europe because of its transmission power of 160 kW.

On 2 January 1998, the medium wave transmitter operating in Warszewo was stopped and the transmission tower converted into an FM transmitter mast. For this purpose, the Fußpunktisolator was bridged and the guy ropes were replaced by those without insulators. By mounted on the mast top antenna, the height of the transmitter tower grew to 114 meters.
