Water integrator
The water integrator is an analog computer. It was built in 1936 in the Soviet Union.
By means of a complex network of pipelines, and water vessels could calculations are performed. The water level in the reservoirs corresponded to different numerical values. The computer was able to solve non- homogeneous differential equations.
A functional model of this computer can be seen in the London Science Museum. Water calculators were in use until the 1980s in the Soviet Union.
