Waterloo Medal (Nassau)
The Waterloo medal was instituted on 23 December 1815 by Duke Friedrich August of Nassau as a reminder for all participants of its armed forces at the Battle of Waterloo.
Appearance
The religious character is a silver medal, which shows on the front of the portrait of the founder and all round the lettering Friedrich August, Duke of Nassau. On the back of an ancient warrior is Nassauischen with the inscription The combatants at Waterloo and the signature XVIII. June 1815 to see.
Carrying method
The ribbon is blue with orange border strip and the award was worn on the left chest.
