Wavin

Wavin is the leader in plastic pipe systems in Europe. The name is derived from the words Wavin water and vinilicos. These two words have been chosen as the basis for the company name, because initially only plastic pipe systems were prepared for water supply. Vinyl is the base material for PVC production.

General

The Germany The company is based in the Emsland twist. Here, the Group operates a production site since 1956. With Europe's 6,200 employees, including 550 in Germany, Wavin 2011, it generated a turnover of around 1.3 billion euros. Since October 2006, Wavin is listed on the Euro next Amsterdam.

In 2012, Wavin has been completely taken over by the Mexican chemical company Mexichem for the equivalent of 531 million euros. Wavin as the European leader and Mexichem as a leader in Latin America together form the world's largest manufacturers of plastic pipes.

Products

The product range includes plastic pipes in various sizes, weights and uses. Among other piping systems for water supply, sewerage systems, rainwater collection systems and gas are produced. In addition, the company offers project planning for roof drainage systems.
