Wayne Allwine

Wayne Anthony Allwine ( born February 7, 1947 in Glendale, California, † 18 May, 2009 Los Angeles ) was an American voice actor and foley artist. For Disney, he said, from 1983 until his death, the voice of Mickey Mouse.

Life

Wayne Allwine since 1977 worked at Disney. He first worked for the series The New Mickey Mouse Club as a speaker. Since 1983, he, as a third speaker to Walt Disney himself and Jimmy MacDonald, the voice of Mickey Mouse in film and television productions as well as in computer games. He worked alongside the dubbing work as a foley artist and sound designer. His work included, among others, The Black Hole, Psycho III and Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

Allwine was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Reel Award for his contributions to Steven Spielberg's television series Amazing Stories (Amazing Stories ) and another Golden Reel for Basil The Great Mouse Detective ( The Great Mouse Detective, 1986). In 2008, the Disney Studios him nominated for Disney Legend.

Allwine was married since 1991 with Russi Taylor, the synchronized Minnie Mouse.
