WE (Band)

WE is a Norwegian hard rock or stoner rock band that was founded in 1993.

Band History

In 1993, Krisvaag, Don Dons, Goshie and Thomas Felberg the band WE. After a self-production ( In a Field of Moose ), they were taken by the Norwegian label Voices of Wonder under contract. Violently Coloured Sneakers the first album for the label, was released in 1996. According to a European tour, the album follows Wooferwheels (1997). The album Livin 'the Lore of 1999 to a small indie success. The group then moved to the label Black Balloon Records.

After three singles appeared three years later Dinosauric Futurobic ( 2002). As the opening act for Queens of the Stone Age, the band is touring and then published a year later, the EP Lightyears ( 2003). In December of the same year, the group producer Chris Goss ( Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age) win, they had already met in 1997 and with many years planned a Kollo borate ion. As a guest musician musician friends of Turbonegro and Gluecifer their part in the album Smugglers ( 2004). The album reached # 1 in the Norwegian charts. The subsequent tour was held together with Meldrum opening for Motörhead. 2008, a recording of the tour on the album Tension & Releases as a bonus DVD will be released. 2006 the group played at the Wacken Open Air

Music style

According to his own statements AR plays a musical mix of hard rock groups such as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen, Krautrock bands like Can, Neu! and Amon Düül 2 and 1960s bands such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. On their MySpace page they take their style accordingly together as Cosmic Biker Rock. Laut.de refers to the group as a mixture of 1980's "Hard Rock - along with fatuous Backing vocals, metallic Geschrubbe and trendy as well as sprinkling a dash of alternative".
