We Butter the Bread with Butter
We Butter the Bread with Butter ( WBTBWB for short) is a four-piece deathcore band from Lubben (Brandenburg).
History
The duo Marcel Neumann, previously guitarist with Martin Kesici and Tobias Schultka already worked together for some time, but had only during the holidays 2008 to record an album.
From the debut album The monster from the closet were initially 100 pieces pressed and self- driven. The album was launched and published on 21 November 2008 at the label Redfield Records. On 8 September 2009, the album was released in North America.
The band set to music, among other children's songs again. On the Infected Tour 2008, they were together with the metalcore band Callejon and the post-hardcore band The Parachutes nationally (eg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart) on the go. Furthermore, the band played shows with A Day to Remember. After that, the duo dedicated the production of their second album. It is titled The Day went under the world and appeared on May 14, 2010 in Europe, the USA and Japan.
During the production of the new album came three new musicians to WBTBWB. Kenneth Iain Duncan took over the post as the second guitarist, Maximilian Pauly Saux played from now on, the bass and Can Özgünsür was the first drummer of the band.
In July 2010, Tobias Schultka decided to opt out of the band because he wants to focus on other things in his life.
On 22 November 2012, the band launched a campaign on the crowdfunding platform Pledge to finance their third album, a new EP as well as other projects. After reaching the target of 400 pre-orders previously issued the EP was provided with the title Project Heart, on 18 December 2012 pledgemusic for download. The release of the album, which was announced in early 2013, however, shifted due to a change of producers. According to an announcement video in which the band members presented themselves in the style of the characters of the television series South Park, the album, which is titled " Gold Children ", on August 9, 2013 appeared.
Style
We Butter the Bread with Butter mix in their songs, the variety of styles such as ( Melodic ) Death Metal, Metalcore and electro.
On the album The monster from the closet, the two musicians set to music almost exclusively known German children's songs new ( eg All my ducklings, small or Johnny 's bake cake). However WBTBWB wanted in their own words from the second album " The monster from the closet 2 " to do, and so we decided to write her own songs.
The singer Tobias Schultka sings in both German and recordings used almost only guttural vocals.
Band name
The band's name "We Butter the Bread with Butter " has no special background. He was chosen because it is long and pointless. Translated, the name of the band "We butter the bread with butter ".
