We Do not Need to Whisper is the debut album by American alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves. It was released in 2006 ( one year after the hiatus of Blink -182 ), sold more than 800,000 times, and the single " The Adventure " won the "Song of the Year 2006 Award" at the San Diego Awards.

Production

The album represents a pure concept album where every song is about searching and finding true love during wartime. The next album I- Empire is a continuation of the album represents the songs were written during the Blink-182 tour in 2004. As DeLonge left Blink-182 in February 2005, he produced several demos of songs for the album. The album was produced in his home studio from 2005 by DeLonge and its new members.

Sale

The album was sold in North America, Australia and the UK. It received the Gold status in Canada, after the album was sold within 3 days 50,000 times. In addition, the album reached the silver status in the UK. Only through a great phase of advance sales the album sold in the United States approximately 126,000 times. In August, there were in the U.S. alone 550,000 albums sold. Worldwide, the album sold over 800,000 times.
