Web Services Distributed Management

Web Services Distributed Management ( WSDM ) is a web standard to monitor the status of other services. WSDM, a part of the WS-* specifications, aims to make the various proprietary management solutions to existing systems in line with the idea of ​​a service-oriented architecture also platform independent and thus their use to homogenize.

Sub-specifications

  • Management Using Web Services ( MUWS ): MUWS describes how management interfaces of resources can be deployed as Web services. This includes some basic functions of management as a resource description, Metrics and means to describe the capabilities of this management service. In addition, MUWS defines a format for events yet to improve interoperability.
  • Management Of Web Services ( MOWS ): MOWS defines how Web services can be managed as a resource and how to access it using MUWS. It includes mechanisms and methods that make it possible to use management-capable web services across the boundaries of companies and organizations of time.

History

WSDM 1.0 was approved on 9 March 2005 as the OASIS standard. The recognition of the WSDM 1.1 specification was made on 7 September 2006.
