Weber Shandwick is the largest public relations network in the world, based in New York City. Weber Shandwick is part of the U.S., Interpublic Group of Companies, is in Germany for McCann Worldgroup.

History

Weber Shandwick was formed in 2001 from the merger of Weber Shandwick International and the Group. Shandwick International was founded in 1974 and developed until 2001 to the biggest PR agency in Britain. The Weber Group was founded in 1987 in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA). The network was ( founded formerly Bozell & Jacobs 1921) also in 2001 through the merger with BSMG Worldwide advances.

Presence

Today the company is part of the Interpublic Group and operates jointly with affiliates around the world 126 offices in 81 countries. In Germany, the agency in Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne and Munich is represented. Here Weber Shandwick also provides a full- service agency services in all areas of communication and is a member of the Association of Public Relations Agencies. The Hamburg office was closed in late 2009 due to the consolidation course of Interpublic. In addition, the company lost in Brussels in 2009 his third CEO within 5 years after the Brussels lobbying team of Interpublic had split off in 2007 in the founding Alber & Geiger led by Siegbert Alber.
