Webjet Linhas Aéreas was a Brazilian low-cost airline based in Rio de Janeiro.

History

Webjet was founded in 2005. In 2009, the company was more than five million passengers carried in the third largest Brazilian airline TAM Linhas Aéreas and by GOL.

On 8 July 2011, the competitors GOL announced that he will take over all of the shares by the existing shareholders of Webjet for 311 million reais. GOL wants to expand its route network in Brazil, the Webjet brand should no longer be used in the future.
