Weekly Eleven

Weekly Eleven News is a weekly newspaper from Myanmar.

The Weekly Eleven News has been produced since 2005 by the Eleven Media Group, which publishes next to this newspaper two sports newspapers, First Eleven Sports Journal ( since 2000) and Premier Eleven Sports Journal ( since 2003) and the Biweekly Eleven News Journal ( since 2008). Chief editor of the newspaper is Wai Phyo.

The newspaper was known for her critical coverage that have led repeatedly to the arrest of employees as well as to temporarily ban the newspaper. For example, the newspaper said despite the ban on the flooding of the city of Mandalay in August 2011. Already in parliamentary elections in November 2010, the newspaper was a publication ban imposed by irregularities in the elections, which they then published on the Internet.

2011, the newspaper was honored for her critical work of the organization Reporters Without Borders with the ROG price as a "medium of the Year".
