Weetabix

Weetabix, Weetabix Limited of the British company (founded in 1932 ), is a wholegrain wheat biscuit, which is typically eaten in a bowl for breakfast soaked in milk or juice. Although since about 60 years Weetabix is a classic part of the English Breakfast, it is hardly known in Germany.

In the United States, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand are offered by other manufacturers similar products such as Weet - Bix.

Product

According to the manufacturer wholemeal wheat is cooked, crushed and ground into flakes.

Weetabix original shipping carton contains loud 95 % whole wheat, barley malt extract, sugar, salt, niacin, ferrous sulfate, thiamine (B1 ), riboflavin ( B2), and folic acid.

From Weetabix other products were derived, which are provided with additives, such as Weetabix Mini banana.

Manufacturer

Weetabix Ltd.. heard since 2012 the majority state-owned Chinese food company Bright Food.
