Wehebe Darge

Wehebe Darge (born 4 December 1991 in Adelaide ) is an Australian ice hockey player who is since 2013 in the Dayton Demonz in the Federal Hockey League contract.

Career

Wehebe Darge began his career as a hockey player in his home town in Adelaide Adrenaline, for those in the Australian Ice Hockey League, he was active from 2008 to 2010 and with whom he won the 2009 Goodall Cup. But meantime he also played in Canada at the Harrington College Icebergs in the America East Hockey League and the Florida Eels in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League. From 2010 to 2012, he played with the Alaska Avalanche in the North America Hockey League and then one year in college team Hamline University in the third division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. But adrenaline was meantime always active for Adelaide. After graduating in 2013, some games in KPK in the fourth-class Finnish divisioona II, he joined in the fall of 2013 at the Dayton Demonz in the Federal Hockey League.

Internationally

For Australia Darge took part in the U18 World Youth Championship of Division III in 2009 and the U20 Junior World Championship Division II in 2011 at junior level. In the 2009 U18 World Cup with his team, he managed to climb into the Division II, for which he played a determining role with his offensive skills. He has been awarded at the tournament as top scorer and the most goals and points scorer had each achieved. He also recorded the best plus-minus balance of the tournament.

In the men's area, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships Division II 2010 and 2013, but he was voted the best player of his team in 2010.
