The Querne, later in Weida, is a creek in the hall circuit and in the district of Mansfeld - South Harz in Saxony- Anhalt.
Course
The creek begins as Querne north of Ziegelroda, then flows east to Lodersleben and cross- ford, to which he gave his name ( ford across the Querne ). The Querne itself loses there her name, she is now called to the mouth Weida.
Until after Obhausen Weida flows eastwards, then turns north into a curvy valley from. In this, it affects 2.4 km Kuckenburg, reached after one kilometer Weida Viaduct of the Federal Highway 38 and crosses after half a kilometer over a length of 1.5 km Esperstedt. After a further 2.4 kilometers Schraplau is happening and south of the village flows the coming of Farnstädt Weitzschkerbach, then, after the county boundary was cut to the district of Mansfeld- South Harz, one kilometer after Schraplau touches the village Stedten. From here the river flows two km to the northwest and then flows past Oberroeblingen the railway Halle- Kassel passes under. After leaving Oberröblingens Weida culminated earlier in the salty lake, but this was drained until 1894. Now the Weida flows above the floor level of the lake at the north-west through various channels Kernersee, a lake left of the former Salty lake, passing in the river bed of the Salza, which forms its lower reaches today. The Kernersee, in among others, the Salza flows, has no natural drainage, so the water of the lake in the new course of Weida is pumped by a pump on the southeastern edge. From the point from which the original Salza from the salty lake flowed (700 m further north ), ie the Weida now Salza.
