Weilerbach, Luxembourg

Because Erbach ( Luxembourgish Weilerbaach ) is a small town in Luxembourg with about 300 inhabitants. The nearest major towns are the German stronghold village in the north and in the south of Echternach.

Because Erbach is subordinate to the Municipality Berdorf and the canton of Echternach. It is located on the right bank of the Sauer, which marks the border between Luxembourg and Germany in the area. On the left side of the Sauer, opposite Weilerbach, is the German Weilerbach, which belongs to the Rhineland-Palatinate Boll village.

Because Erbach is known for a refugee center, located since 2000 in the building of a former sanatorium and sometimes causes resentment among the population.
