Welcome to: Our House (Eng. Welcome to our home ) is the second studio album by American rap group Slaughterhouse. It was released on 27 August 2012 as the standard and deluxe edition on the label Shady Records and Interscope.

Development and promotion

The release of the album was repeatedly - moved - from May 2012, August 2012. Shortly before the publication of the phonogram was the publication of the mixtapes On the House on 19 August 2012.

Production and samples

Eminem acted in the album as executive producer, mixed the songs and produced the intro The Slaughter, the Skit We Did It, and the song Asylum. He has also appeared on various songs as co- producer. Two productions coming from Alex da Kid ( Our House, Rescue Me ), Mr. Porter ( Throw It Away, The ), Boi - 1da ( Goodbye, Our Way (Outro ) ) and T-Minus ( Throw That, Frat House). Araabmuzik produced the song Hammer dance and the instrumentals to My Life and Walk of Shame Street Runner created in collaboration with ILO Sarom respectively. Coffin The track was produced by Hit- Boy, while Black Key and Zukhan Flip a Bird produced. Further productions come from J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League ( The Other Side ) and No I. D. ( Get Up ). Kane Beatz created the instrumental to Park It Sideways, and in cooperation with the beat of Jmike Place to Be.

With seven songs samples were used tracks by other artists. So Get Up is sampling the track Ali In the Jungle of the rock band The Hours. My Life For a sample of the song Rhythm of the Night Corona was the band used and the song Flip a Bird contains a sample of Little Bird singer Imogen Heap. Throw It Away includes elements of the piece the band UFO ESG, while Park It Sideways contains a sample of the song Real Love by the band Delorean. In addition, Walk of Shame samples the song Light of the Morning by the group Band of Skulls, and Hammer dance contains elements of the track Falling Away From Me by Korn.

Cover design

The album cover shows a white house, the number of damage such as broken windows and traces of fire has. Before the building are scattered objects, such as burning music boxes, a swimming pool and a house pig. On the wall are gray in the words: Welcome to Our House and larger in red. The Slaughterhouse logo is located in the sky above the roof.

Guest Posts

Seven or nine songs for the album included guest appearances by other artists. So, to listen to the songs Our House, Throw That and the Asylum label boss Eminem. In Coffin Slaughterhouse supported by Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beatz during its appearance on Throw It Away. The singer Cee- Lo Green is heard in the chorus of My Life and Skylar Grey looks at the pieces Our House and Rescue Me with. In addition, BoB has a guest post on Place to Be and the singer Sly Jordan The represented at the song.

Chart hits and singles

With around 52,000 copies sold in its first week rose Welcome to: Our House at No. 2 in the U.S. charts and stayed five weeks in the Top 200 In Switzerland (# 76, 1 wk. ) And the UK ( # 33, 1 wk. ), the album was able to place in the charts.

The first single, the song Hammer Dance was published on 13 March 2012 Download at iTunes, the second single My Life followed on 15 May 2012 and the third single Throw It Away on July 2, 2012. On 14 and 21 August 2012, the song Goodbye or Throw that was also published as a downloadable singles. Up to Throw That ( U.S. # 98), no single was able to place in the charts.
