Wells Thompson

Thomas Wells Thompson ( born November 25, 1983 in Winston- Salem, North Carolina) is an American football player. The midfielder currently plays for the Chicago Fire SC in Major League Soccer. Previously, he was active for the New England Revolution and Colorado Rapids.

Career

Thompson played for the Wake Forest University while he was in college. His first professional contract he signed in January 2007 at New England Revolution before he moved to the Colorado Rapids two years later. There he won in 2010 with the team the championship. After the 2012 season but he was only a substitute, he wanted to leave the club. Colorado Rapids gave him therefore the release and Thompson moved to Chicago Fire SC.
