Welt am Sonntag

The Welt am Sonntag (abbreviation WamS ) is a national, German Sunday newspaper of the Axel Springer AG, headquartered in Berlin. Paid circulation is no longer reported separately since 2011 and was the last message along with the rest of the world on Sunday compact 400 328 copies.

Editing

Chief editor of the newspaper is Jan- Eric Peters, deputy chief editors are Ulf Poschardt, Beat Balzli, Thomas Exner, Oliver Michalsky, Frank Schmiechen, Andrea Seibel and Cornelius Tittel. The ministries include: politics, sports, business, finance, culture, style, travel, motor and property. The newspaper has four German regional editors: Bavaria, Berlin, Hamburg and North Rhine -Westphalia. In Frankfurt there is a regional office.

History

The world was founded on Sunday in August 1948 in Hamburg as their own editors to supplement the daily Die Welt. It was acquired in 1953 by publisher Axel Springer. 2001 pulled the newspaper from Hamburg to Berlin. 2010, the world was founded in compact as Sunday edition of Welt Kompakt on Sunday. The new weekly newspaper contains a selection of articles in the world on Sunday and first appeared in North Rhine -Westphalia. Since 30 January 2011, the Welt am Sonntag is compact in Bavaria, Baden- Württemberg, Hesse, Rhineland -Palatinate and Saarland available. The output of the world on Sunday 1 December 2013 were designed by the designer Karl Lagerfeld with your own photos, text and color illustrations.
