Wendy Bagwell and the Sunliters

The gospel song group Wendy Bagwell and the Sunliters to Wendell Lee Bagwell (1925-1996) was best known for television in the early 1960s. In 1965 she undertook the first gospel group a first European tour. In 1968, she had already released their fourth studio album. In 1970, the year in which they sold their millionth record, they came under Canaan Records, after they had previously produced with Scripture Records. They stepped up to 150 times in a year. In 1997 they were recording in the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame and honored in the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2001. In three decades she had 100 publications.

The first cast of the group consisted of Wendy Bagwell, Geraldine Terry (later as Jerri Morrison occurred ) and Georgia Jones. Jones was later successfully Dot Pressley, Virginia Williams, and " Little Jan" Buckner.
