Wendy Brown (political scientist)

Wendy Brown ( born November 28, 1955) is an American political scientist at Berkeley, USA.

Life and achievements

Brown works in the field of Political Theory and the Critical Theory at the University of California, Berkeley, where she teaches as first Professor of Political Science since 1999. After studying at the University of California, Santa Cruz, she completed her doctorate in 1983 from Princeton University in political science.

In December 2008, a debate between Wendy Brown and Rainer Forst took place at the ICI Berlin.

In May 2011, Brown gave the lecture Is Marx ( Capital) Secular? at the Humboldt -Universität zu Berlin, a topic of their current research on the relationship between Marxism and religion.
