Wendy Wasserstein

Wendy Wasserstein ( born October 18, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York City; † January 30, 2006 in New York City ) was an American playwright.

She was the sister of the investment banker Bruce Wasserstein ( 1947-2009 ).

In 1971 she made ​​at Mount Holyoke College degree in history. In 1989 she was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for the play The Heidi Chronicles. She wrote the screenplay for the film comedy love in every way from the year 1998.

In December 2005, was diagnosed with leukemia, which she was not known to the public. She eventually died on 30 January 2006 from a malignant lymphoma.
