Werner Daum

Werner Daum is a former German diplomat.

Life

From 1992 to 1995 he headed the Human Rights Division of the German diplomatic representation in Geneva. He served as Minister- Counsellor at the German Embassy Tirana and was from 1996 to 2000 German Ambassador in Sudan. Subsequently, he was a Fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University. As such, he published a critical article about the bombing of the Ash- Shifa pharmaceutical factory.
