Werner Weist

Werner Weist ( born March 11, 1949 in Dortmund ) is a former German football player. He brought it from 1968 to 1977 at the clubs Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen in 217 games and 87 goals in the Bundesliga.

Life

Werner Weist joined in the summer of 1968 in his hometown of SV 08 Dortmund ( county league ) to the ball game in the Bundesliga club Borussia and thus skipped eight leagues. In the spring of 1968 he had completed a trial with 1 FC Nuremberg and received a contract offer from the club, but the BVB was made aware of it through targeted newspaper reports. On September 7 Assigns came to his first home game against Hamburger SV. He steered after 120 seconds at 1-0 to 3-1 victory later. In the first season at Borussia Dortmund, he had recognized with Lothar Emmerich, Siegfried Held, Willi Neuberger, Dieter Kurrat, Reinhold Wosab and Rudi Assauer league player next to him, yet it was enough to avoid relegation just barely. In the first season he was in 17 games for Dortmund on the field and contributed seven goals in the league.

After the career

Until the mid- 90s, Werner Weist played in the tradition of self Borussia Dortmund. Since 1996 he has been the avowed BVB fan the Fan - outdoor sale at FC Schalke 04, a post provided him with former team-mate Rudi Assauer. He lives with his wife in Dortmund -Nette.
