Weser Tower

The Weser Tower is a building designed by the architect Helmut Jahn tower, which was built as part of the urban development in the overseas city in Bremen on the site of the former Weser station.

The 22 floors of the skyscraper has an area of 18,000 square meters and allow room for 800 jobs. For this major project also included a new hotel, a vaudeville theater, restaurants and other office buildings.

The Siedentopf GmbH invested a total of around 70 million euros in the development of the site of the new Weserpromenade immediately west of the old town of Bremen. The main tenants are a subsidiary of the energy company EWE AG, which took a total of 13 floors of the skyscraper.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on 23 October 2007. The highest 82 meters altitude office building of Bremen should be completed in 2009. The completion was delayed because of technical inconsistencies and supplemental claims contractor Hochtief. From 8 January 2010 Siedentopf has terminated the contract with the general contractor Hochtief Construction AG due to delays in the completion of the Weser Tower. According to the company Siedentopf took over the coordination of the other works, together with the general planner ECE project management.
