Blue -throated Bluebird

The Blue -throated Bluebird (Sialia mexicana ) is a medium-sized songbird of the thrush family.

The male is on the belly gray, dyed red at the top and the bright blue throat and chest. The female is less colorful and is colored gray on the breast and brown on the back, throat and hood.

The Blue -throated Bluebird not breed in semi-open landscapes in western North America, but in desert areas. He will compete with other birds, such as house sparrow, Star or Tree Swallow at nest sites.

The northern populations migrate in the winter in the south, however, the birds are in the south -migratory birds.

This bird catches insects in flight or from a hunting. The diet is supplemented with berries.
