Western Development Region, Nepal
The development of western region ( Nepali: पश्चिमाञ्चल विकास क्षेत्र Pashchimānchal Bikas Kshetra / development region of the Western zones ) (English: Western Development Region) is one of five development regions in Nepal. It has an area of 29,398 km ² and consists of the zones Gandaki, Dhaulagiri and Lumbini, which are each divided into districts. In the 2011 census, the region had 4,926,765 inhabitants. Council is based in Pokhara.
