Western Washington University

The Western Washington University ( WWU or Western also called ) is a university in Bellingham in Washington state. Founded in 1893, studying at the university currently just under 15,000 students. The university is known for its research and teaching in the field of automotive design.

Sports

The sports teams of the EMU are the Vikings. The university is a member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. By 2009, the university also held a American football team, which was most recently a member of the North Central Conference. In the wake of budget cuts this team was abolished in 2009, however.
