The Wetterwandeck is a 2698 m high summit in Wettersteingebirge. It is located south of the Zugspitze, above the Southern Schneeferner in the comb, which includes the Zugspitze. In the ski area on the Zugspitze, the Bavarian Zugspitze Railway Mountain Railway AG operated until the end of the winter season 2011/ 12 under the Wetterwandeck the double drag lift system " Wetterwandeck " (altitude: 2400-2700 m, length: 1200 m, capacity: 1200 people per hour ).
