Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy

The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy is a sailing center on the Isle of Portland off the coast of Weymouth in Dorset on England's south coast. For sailing area includes the waters off Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour.

The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy offers a yacht club with moorings for private boats also a boat rental and intended to make schools and interested sailing possible, and also serves as a training center. It exists since 2000 and was several times the organizer of international regattas and world championships.

At the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics in 2012 here the competitions are held in sailing. Most plants were in favor already exists. Only a new Aufschlepper and new anchorages had to be built. During the Olympic Games, spectators can watch the races from the shore. Grandstands are not planned. However, spectator craft are planned with seats.
