Welcome to Israel is an Israeli film drama from the year 2005.
Action
The film shows the story of three episodic migrant workers as they cope with everyday life in Israel in illegality.
In order to support her family in Ukraine is introduced with other women in Israel to work as prostitutes Jana. But since she has a birthmark on his face, she is not employed and has to work as a cleaner. Since the money up front and rear is not enough, they still tried to work as a prostitute. She is the ex-cop Franco closer, the more they smuggled and women. Eddie, a Filipino Caregiver, cares for the sick father of Elonie. Together with his wife Nenny, who also works in Israel, he wants a child. But for that he needs to get on an expensive medical procedure money. He decides after he has just recovered from his addiction to gambling to earn the money in a game room in the red light district.

Background
The film received at the award ceremony of the Israeli Film Awards Ophir Award nominations 13, where he was awarded five times. In addition to the awards for Best Film, for Best Screenplay, Best Editing and Best Production Design for the Uri Gavriel Award for Best Actor.
The film had its world premiere published on 8 July 2005 at the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary and was on 22 September 2005 in the Israeli cinema. His German premiere, the film had on 4 July 2006 on ARTE.
