Mountain Wheatear ( ö monticola )

The Wheatear ( Oenanthe ) is a songbird species in the family of flycatchers ( Muscicapidae ). Widespread they are in Eurasia and Africa; the "real" Wheatear ( Oenanthe Oenanthe ) also lives in Alaska and Canada.

Wheatears are insect- eating birds of the open terrain. Many of the species are adapted to live in deserts or semi-deserts. Their nests they build in crevices or abandoned Tierbauen. The northern species is migratory, wintering in Africa.

In many species there are strong gender and seasonal differences in the coloring of the plumage. The most common variety of light brown shades come, white and black before, with a few species also gray and rusty brown.
