White Pudding

White pudding ( German: white pudding ) or Oatmeal Pudding ( German: oatmeal pudding ) is a common in Ireland, Scotland and Newfoundland and popular dish. It is usually made of pork meat and fat, suet, bread and oatmeal and is formed into a sausage. This sausage is cooked either as a whole or fried sliced.

In Scotland, white pudding is also known as Mealy pudding and consists of suet, oatmeal, onions and spices, in the south-western English counties of Devon and Cornwall as Hog's pudding, which also contains some have a high proportion of viscera such as liver and lung.

In Ireland, white pudding is part of the Irish breakfast in Scotland is sold in batter fried white pudding instead of fish in Fish'n'Chips stores. White pudding with chips is also known as White Pudding Supper. In Scotland, white pudding is traditionally eaten also to mince & tatties.
