Wielki Łęck

Wielki leak [v ʲ ɛlk ʲ i wɛntsk ] ( German United Lensk ) is a town in the rural community Plosnica in Poland. It is located 16 km west of the city Działdowo ( Soldau ) and is part of the powiat Działdowski in the Warmia - Mazury.

History

The place was in 1328 for the first time mentioned. Its origin is related to the settlement of the west of the Vistula and peaceful landscape Sassen by the Teutonic Order early 14th century. In the Order time the place was under the name Great Lensk to Commandery Osterode. Even before the Reformation were already in the village church, the multi- denominational affiliation changed after the introduction of the Reformation in the Duchy of Prussia, but ultimately remained Catholic. With the establishment of the Duchy of the commanderies were replaced by secular circles, and major Lensk was subordinated to the Elblag circle. When it was resolved in the course of administrative reform in 1752, the place came to the Prussian circle Neidenburg. Wielki leak is located at the Province Road 544 ( droga wojewódzka 544). This results in about eight kilometers west through Lidzbark ( According castle ) and ends after about 40 kilometers in Brodnica ( Strasburg ). To the east it passes through 15 km away Dzialdowo ( Soldau ) and ends after about 120 kilometers in Ostrołęka ( Ostrolenka ).

The nearest international airports are the Ignacy Paderewski -Jan- Airport Bydgoszcz, 130 kilometers to the west, and the Fryderyk Chopin Airport Warsaw, 130 kilometers south of the village.

Wielki leak has no rail connection.
