Geography

Wiesbach lies in the Danube-Iller region. There are the following districts: Oberegg, Oberwiesenbach, Unterwiesenstrasse Bach.

History

The local nobility of Wiesenbacher sold his property in 1398 to the Counts of Kirchberg. In 1447 Wiesbach came to Reichsstift Monastery Rye Castle. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803 the place belonged to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818 the municipalities Oberwiesenbach and Unterwiesenstrasse Bach. On 31 October 1978, six months after the performed municipal reform, the local administrative sub Wiesbach was officially changed to Wiesbach.
