Wife carrying

Wearing (even wife or wife wearing ) is a sport in which pairs each consisting of a man and a woman races by 253.5 meters long contest course. The couple may result in more than a belt, and this could only move as long as the woman is carried by the man. The world record was in July 2011 at 55.5 seconds. [ WCH 1]

Inspired by this sport is a local legend, the village Sonkajärvi in Finland, after the robber Herkko Rosvo - Rinkainen end of the 19th century in the surrounding villages women have hijacked what had been a common practice at that time (see also: Abduction of the Bride ). [ WCH 1]

Regulate

According to the International Wife Carrying Competetion Rules Committee (English for, international woman wearing Competition Rules Committee ') each race course must consist of grass, gravel and sand sections and two dry and have two moats of around 1 meter depth.
