Wilbur Schwandt

Wilbur Schwandt Clyde ( born June 28, 1904 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, † July 23, 1998 in Miami, Florida) was an American composer.

He studied music in Chicago, and later worked as an orchestrator for Bob Hope if this went on tour. From the 1940s he worked around a quarter of a century in the field of Latin American music. His best-known work today is the song " Dream a Little Dream of Me", as its author, he is together with Fabian Andre. The original song is from 1931, it became known in particular the version of Mama Cass.

Mid -1960s Schwandt joined the retirement and died at 94 years.
