Wildstrubel Glacier

The Wildstrubel glacier or lambs Glacier is a glacier in the Bernese Alps, in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. In 2011 he had a length of 2.3 km, since 1917 he has thus about 450 m in length lost .. The area was specified for 1992 3.15 km ².

His starting point takes the Wildstrubel Glacier on the southeast flank of the Wildstrubel massif between the actual wild commotion and the Middle summit at about 3,200 m. From the south located Plaine -Morte glacier in the wild bustle glacier is separated by the ridge that runs from the West bustle ( 3'244 m above sea level. In his High Stadium during the Little Ice Age in the mid- 19th century, the wild bustle glacier aka lambs Glacier stretched a little further down the valley and was associated with the down flowing from the Black Horn lambs glacier. Also the Steghorn glacier reached in this time to Wildstrubel glacier.
