Wilfredo Daniel Caballero Lazcano ( born September 28, 1981 in Santa Elena, Entre Ríos Province ), known as Willy, is an Argentine football goalkeeper who is currently with the Spanish side Málaga CF under contract. Willy has in addition to the Argentine and the Spanish citizenship.

Career

Club career

Willy stood between 2001 and 2004 the pro squad of Boca Juniors and then moved to Spain with FC Elche. During the winter break of the season 2005/ 06 he was awarded for half a year to the Argentine club Arsenal de Sarandi, where he came to 13 inserts. For the FC Elche, he played 151 games. In 2011, he moved for a little over a million euros to FC Málaga.

National

Willy took the Argentine U-20 national team at the Junior World Championship 2001 in part in their own country. Once behind Germán Lux, he was initially only substitute goalkeeper, he came from the semifinal used and won with his team virtually unchallenged for the world title.

In 2004 he was in the squad of Argentina for the Olympic tournament in Athens, but did not at the Olympic victory of his team to use. A year later he was also the Confederations Cup in the squad, the gate was careful, however, as with Olympic Lux; therefore he experienced from his team into the finals only by the bank. Willy denied yet no match for the national team.
