Wilhelm (crater)

Wilhelm is an impact crater in southwestern lunar front side, to the west of the crater Tycho and northeast of Longomontanus. The rim is very badly eroded and partially overlaid by other impacts, the crater interior is relatively flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the astronomer William IV, Landgrave of Hesse -Kassel.
