Will Lammert Prize
The Will Lammert price is a named after the German sculptor Will Lammert Art Prize. He was awarded at irregular intervals from 1962 to 1992 by the East Berlin Academy of the Arts to young sculptors. In total there are 13 winners.
The Academy of Arts bestowed donated by the widow of the sculptor died in 1957 award for the first time on January 5, 1962 to Werner Stötzer. The Will Lammert price, making it the first privately gestiftetete award of the GDR. His statute after initially received only a sculptor under 30 years the price later, the age limit was raised.
