William Booth (footballer)

William Booth (* October 1880 in Stockport, † unknown) was an English footballer.

Career

Booth came in late December 1900 to two inserts for Newton Heath in the Football League Second Division. As a left winger, a position previously held mostly John Grundy, he debuted on December 26 ( Boxing Day ) in a 4-0 win against FC Blackpool and worked three days later with a 3-0 victory over Glossop with. Despite the two successes played on New Years Day against Middlesbrough FC James Fisher, who retained his place in the team until the end of the season. While their fate by Booth nothing is known.
