William Donald Schaefer Building

The William Donald Schaefer Building, common William Schaefer Building or Donald Schaefer Building, is a skyscraper in Baltimore, Maryland. The building is the third tallest building in Baltimore with a height up to the roof of 150 m. Together with the flagpole on the roof of the building, the total height is 210 meters and it is thus the tallest building in the state of Maryland. It has 37 floors and was completed and opened in 1992. The name owes William Donald Schaefer, who from 1971 to 1986 mayor of Baltimore from 1987 to 1996 and Governor of the State of Maryland. Previously, the skyscraper was named Merritt Tower.
